Cock-a-Doodle-Doo back

Silence fell upon the barnyard long after sunset. Half our world slept. Through the dream of a sheep came a robed shepherd walking on grass.

At the sheep’s foot the shepherd raised his staff and looked down the tunnels of her eyes to the god in her heart. Quivering with ecstasy, the sheep knelt on its two fore and bowed her head.

Never did the sheep wake. But from her nocturne emanated a prophecy that reached the farm’s guardian. The rooster crowed. The farmer opened the gates and cut the fences. He let roam those who wished to roam, and depart if desiring departure. He cared for those who sought care until death timely came.
